Charlotte got ready at The Petersham Hotel with her Sisters Becky and Hettie along with Bridesmaids Liz and Jo who helped Charlotte into her elegant lace dress designed by Catherine Dean and supplied by Exquisite Brides in Winchester.

Hair and makeup was by the lovely Lucy St John, always a pleasure to see her at a wedding and her work certainly makes my life easier.

The ceremony took place at St James Church, Pope's Grove in Twickenham, a lovely bright church that makes the photography easier.

Afterwards there was confetti in the blazing hot June sunshine which had me thinking my original portrait plan wouldn't work so well. Thinking on my feet I suggested we shift locations the the beautiful Terrace Gardens on Richmond Hill which provides a perfect balance of shade and indirect sunlight. Because of the long, hot Summer the Petersham meadows had turned golden and proved irresistible for a few natural, unposed portraits.

What can I say, The Bingham is a documentary wedding photographers dream. Although we didn't get to use it, the bar has possibly the most flattering natural light of any room in London... and also makes great cocktails : )

The garden at The Bingham is my favourite place for wedding drinks receptions in the whole of London. Its riverside location on a meander in The Thames ensures a gentle cool breeze, perfect for those long hot Summer afternoons we get two or three times a year ; )

So, let's take a look at Charlotte and Adam's Bingham wedding photos….
